Plumbing license reciprocity by state · Pair verdict

Transfer a plumbing license from South Dakota to Georgia

Your South Dakota license, Georgia's rules. This page computes the pair the boards leave you to guess at — the full checker adds your license status and level.

No endorsement

No endorsement — exam route

Rule 121-2-.03 allows Georgia licensing divisions to enter formal reciprocity agreements and to endorse an out-of-state license where the other board's examination and requirements are substantially equal and similar privileges are offered to Georgia licensees, but no state is named in any primary source, and the Division of Master and Journeyman Plumbers is reported (Plumbers Training Institute FAQ) to reciprocate with no state at this time. No published journeyman endorsement route exists.

Georgia's journeyman gate, for the exam route: not published hours. One rule outranks the pair: a lapsed South Dakota license endorses nowhere — reinstate at home first.

Rules as published by Georgia State Construction Industry Licensing Board, Division of Master Plumbers and Journeyman Plumbers (Secretary of State), checked October 22, 2026. Confirm with the board before you apply.
