Louisiana and Arkansas ONLY. Louisiana journeymen must also hold a Louisiana gas fitter license in good standing to obtain the equivalent Texas license with no exam (TSBPE reciprocal agreement announcement). Arkansas journeymen must have held their Arkansas license for at least 4 years. Everyone else applies by examination (out-of-state license holders are exempt from the 48-hour course).
